Yes Life for iOS
General
1. How much does Yes Life for iOS cost?
The Yes Life application is FREE on all platforms (iOS, Mac and Windows). All you need is a Yes ID. Calls and SMS via Yes Life are charged based on Yes's super-low rates. Note that when you're on the Yes network, calls and SMS will NOT result in data charges; with Yes, you only pay for the service you're using.

You can download Yes Life for iOS from the App Store, or visit www.yeslife.my/i from your iOS device, and it will automatically load the App Store's Yes Life page. You'll also find a link to download Yes Life for iOS at www.yeslife.my/support.
3. How do I change my Yes ID password?
You can change your password in the My Account section at www.yes.my. Please note that any changes may take up to an hour to reflect in Yes Life; until this happens, just use your old password.
Installation
1. What is the recommended device specification to run Yes Life for iOS?
Supported devices:
• iPhone 3GS and newer
• iPod touch 3rd Generation and newer
• iPad (all versions)

2. What are the operating systems that can run Yes Life for iOS?
Yes Life works on iPad, iPod touch and iPhone running iOS 4.0 and higher. To find out what iOS version you are running, tap the Home button once to view the Home screen. Then tap Settings > General > About.
3. What kind of network does Yes Life for iOS run on?
Yes Life runs great on the Yes 4G network. However, Yes Life can also run on a normal wireless connection (Wi-Fi or even 3G), as long as the connection is reasonably fast and stable, and the protocols and ports Yes Life need to run are not blocked.
Running Yes Life
1. I'm having trouble signing in to Yes Life for iOS. What's wrong?
Please check the following:
• Ensure you are connected to the Internet.
• Ensure your Yes ID is active with sufficient balance or credit; check online at www.yes.my.
• Attempt to restart Yes Life for iOS and try to sign in again.
• If you're still having trouble, please contact YesCare.

2. Can I sign in to Yes Life on iOS and on my Buzz phone at the same time?
Today, a Yes ID may only be signed in to Yes Life for iOS or the Buzz phone at the same time. We plan to support this in an upcoming version of Yes Life for iOS.
3. I'm using Yes Life for iOS, why can't I send IM and make a video call?
Yes Life for iOS does not currently support instant messaging and video calling. However, IM, video calling, social features and more are available on Yes Life for Mac (and Windows).
SMS
1. Can I send a message to more than one recipient at a time?
We plan to include this in the next version of Yes Life for iOS - stay tuned.
2. I received my SMS on Yes Life for iOS but did not get it on my Buzz or Yes Life on Windows and Mac.
This will occur only if your other device was not connected at the time you received the SMS on Yes Life for iOS. If an SMS is successfully received on Yes Life, it will not be sent to other devices that are offline when the message arrives, and vice versa. If you have both Yes Life for iOS and the other device connected, both will receive the SMS.
3. Why can't I send MMS messages on Yes Life?
We don't support MMS. Why? Because, in this era of free email services like Yes Mail, smartphones, social networking, and great mobile Internet services like Yes 4G, there are much better - and less expensive - ways to share.
4. Can SMS messages support Chinese and special characters?
Yes, we support UTF-8 characters, including Chinese characters.
Calls
1. I can't see who is calling me! It just shows up as an "Anonymous". Why?
To see who is calling, you will need to enable Caller Line Identification Presentation (CLIP). You can enable CLIP by dialling, in Yes Life, the number *30# . You will hear a voice announcement confirming CLIP has been enabled. From then on you will be able to view the caller ID. Please see the Value Added Services section for more details.
2. I'm on the Yes 4G Network. Will I be charged for data used by Yes Life calls and SMS?
No, you will not be charged for the data usage when making voice calls, video calls and SMS while you are on the Yes 4G Network. Note that while on non-Yes Internet connections, such as 3G, data charges will apply according to the plan you're on.
3. How do I make long distance calls in Yes Life for iOS?
Yes Life for iOS works for any domestic call to any operator or landline as well as for IDD calls. If you have difficulties making an IDD call, try to use the prefix "+" or "00".

2. How do I access my voicemail?
Calling your own number using Yes Life will allow you to access your voicemail. As a security measure, you will be asked for your pin code. Remember, your security pin code is not your Yes ID password. If you are accessing your voicemail for the first time, the default password is "0000". You will be prompted to enter a new pin code.
3. I totally forgot my voicemail password.
Please call YesCare for assistance on resetting your voicemail password.
4. What are the rates for accessing voicemail?
Access to voicemail will be charged at standard nationwide rate of 9sen per minute.

You can buy the iPad 2 at participating Apple resellers*, you are entitled to purchase the Yes 4G Starter at these stores.

4. How do I register for my Yes ID when I purchase my 4G Starter Pack with iPad 2?
Simply log on to www.yes.my to activate the warranty for your Huddle.
Key in your Huddle serial number (remove the Huddle battery to view the serial number), and follow the step-by-step registration process.
5. If I already have a Yes ID, do I still need to register my device to activate the warranty?
Yes, you need to register your Huddle for the warranty at www.yes.my to enjoy your 10 GB Data, 250 SMS messages, and 250 minutes of voice calls.
6. If my Huddle is faulty, where can I get a replacement?
If the Huddle is still under warranty, you may walk into any of our Yes Stores to get a replacement.
7. If I purchase a Valuepack, can the free data, SMSes and calls from the iPad 2 + 4G Starter Pack promotion be rolled over?
No, the free data, SMS and calls comes only with 30 days validity. Any unused balance will expire after 30 days.
8. If I have already purchased the RM1199 Huddle Bundle, would I be eligible to purchase the 4G Starter Pack with iPad 2?
Yes, you will still be eligible to purchase the Yes 4G Starter Pack with iPad 2 at RM450.
9. Am I subject to a RM30 minimum usage?
Yes, but only starting from your 2nd billing cycle. For the 1st month, the RM30 minimum usage is waived.

1. How can I register for this plan?
This plan is exclusive to iOS users to try out our amazing Yes Life app.
You can either register via your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
Just click on "Need a Yes ID? Click to sign up now" and follow the step-by-step guide.

2. Can I continue using the Yes ID that I have registered after I have used up the complimentary RM5?
Yes, simply reload a minimum RM50. Go to www.yes.my to reload.

Your account will automatically expire after 30 days if you don't reload a minimum of RM50. Your Yes number and Yes ID will no longer be available for use.
4. Would I be notified when my account has expired?
Yes, our Customer Care team will contact you for feedback on our Yes services, and enquire about your interest to continue using our service.
5. I already have a Yes ID. Can I still subscribe to this plan?
This plan is exclusive to new customers on iOS devices.

6. Why do I have to reload a minimum of RM50 for the first time?
The minimum reload of RM50 is to allow you to continue with Yes services beyond the validity period of 14 days.
Troubleshooting Guide
1. Yes Life for iOS won't sign in.
Please make sure that your Internet connection is working.

- Press the Home button once to get to the Home screen
- Double press the Home button; the apps currently running will appear in the quick-switch drawer at the bottom of the screen
- Tap and hold on an app icon until the icon starts shaking and you see a red minus sign (-) at the corner of the app's icon
- Tap the minus sign it to exit the Yes Life app
- Tap the Yes Life icon on the Home screen to re-start Yes Life

3. Yes Life keeps crashing or stops responding! What should I do?
Don't panic! Please send us the system log, so that our engineers can troubleshoot your issue. To send the log, please tap the More tab, then System Log > Send Log. Remember to provide a description of your problem as well as your Yes ID (but NEVER your password).

- When an application crashes on the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, a "crash report" is stored on the device.
- Please connect the device to iTunes on your Windows or Mac PC, and sync.
