Running Yes Life Web
1. Why I can't sign in to Yes Life Windows/Mac on my computer?
As of 1 December 2014, Yes Life Windows/Mac will no longer be supported. Instead, we have enhanced Yes Life Web with a whole slew of new features and an improved user experience. Please visit web.yeslife.my to log in. For a full list of new features, click here. If you require further assistance, kindly contact Yes Care at yescare@yes.my or call 018 333 0000.
2. What do I need to use Yes Life Web?
All you need is an Internet connection and a web browser. To enjoy the best call quality, we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome. However, Yes Life Web will work just fine with most other browsers including:
  • Internet Explorer 10 and later
  • Mozilla Firefox 27 and later
  • Google Chrome 33 and later
  • Safari 6 and later
If your browser is outdated, Yes Life Web will prompt you to upgrade your browser.

If you're using Apple Safari or Microsoft Internet Explorer, you will also need to ensure that your browser has at least Adobe Flash installed. If not, you can download Adobe Flash for free here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/.

For voice calls function to work, you will also need a microphone and a speaker. A headset is recommended for the best call experience.
3. Can I use Yes Life Web on a smartphone or tablet browser?
Currently, you can only use Yes Life Web on a desktop browser. We'll be adding mobile support in the near future.
4. What kind of network does Yes Life run on?
Yes Life runs great on the Yes 4G Network. However, Yes Life can also run on a normal wired or wireless connection, as long as the connection is reasonably fast and stable.
5. Can I sign in to Yes Life Web on more than one device?
Yes you can. However, if you sign in to Yes Life Web on another web browser OR Yes Life for iPad, you will not be able to make calls or receive SMS on your current device. To reconnect, simply click on 'Enable Calls in Current Session' to reconnect.
SMS
1. Can I send or receive SMS in Chinese and special characters?
Yes, we support UTF-8 characters, including Chinese characters.
2. Can I send a message to more than one recipient at a time?
Yes you can! Simply compose a new SMS message and key in your contact's name if he is in your contact list and select the number you want to send to and repeat this step until you have completed your selection. Alternatively, you can key in a telephone number or Yes ID followed by a comma “,” if you plan to send a message to people who are not in your contact list.
3. I am not receiving any SMS from international numbers. What's wrong?
Currently, you can send SMS messages to international numbers and receive SMS for most major international telecommunications operators. However, there may be some operators which we currently do not support. To find out more, kindly contact Yes Care.
4. Yes Life Web displayed a half green circle icon when I tried to send an SMS.
This indicates that the SMS has been sent to the server and is awaiting delivery to your friend's phone. However, depending on your friend's operator, the message may have already been delivered.
5. Yes Life Web displayed a red exclamation icon when I tried to send an SMS.
This indicates that the SMS was not sent successfully. Please check your account and try again.
6. Why can't I send MMS messages on Yes?
We did not include MMS in Yes simply because it costs you too much for too little benefit. With Yes Life Web, you can easily share a file using the Storage feature or send an email.

Tasks and Calendar
1. When should I use a task and when should I use an appointment?
Whether it is best to use an appointment or a task can be determined based on the following criteria:
  • An appointment takes place at a defined point in time. If you need to execute an action at a defined point in time, create an appointment for this action.
  • A task has a due date and sometimes a priority. If you are flexible regarding the time schedule of an action and only have to respect the due date, enter a task for this action.
2. How can I create a task from an email? How do I use the availability function, e.g.: Free, Busy, Absent, etc?
If you want to avoid conflicts when creating appointments, use the availability Free. All other availabilities cause conflict messages for overlapping appointments.
3. How do I use the calendar or tasks recurrence settings?
Here are two examples:

Example 1: An appointment or a task should take place every second day. It should start on 07-01-2013 and should take place five times.
  • Starts on 07-01-2013
  • Daily
  • The event is repeated every 2 days.
  • The series ends after 5 appointments or tasks.
Example 2: An appointment or a task should take place every Tuesday and Friday. It should start on 08-01-2013.
  • Starts on 08-01-2013
  • Weekly
  • The event is repeated every week on Tuesday and Friday.
  • The series never ends.
