Yes Plan FAQ

1. Can you tell me more about your service plan?
It's a simple plan that offers you the advantage of using Mobile Internet and Voice services from a single account with credit that never expires. Just pay RM 50 to activate your account, buy a minimum reload of RM 10 and pay-as-you-go at the lowest rates in the market:

Data: 3 sen per MB
Voice calls: 9 sen per minute
SMS: 9 sen each

Our data rebates start when you have used 2.5 GB in a month. Click here for more details the data rebates.

Note: A minimum monthly usage of RM 30 is required to maintain your Yes account.
2. How do I register for the Yes service?
You can register for Yes service from www.yes.my. Alternatively, just visit our Yes Stores or retail partners to register and select your Yes ID and 018 mobile number.

To activate the Yes service, you will be charged a one time activation fee of RM 50. Then just buy a minimum reload of RM 10 and you can start enjoying the Yes service through the Yes devices. Pay-as-you-go and reload when your credit is used up.

If you do not have a Yes 4G device, you can still make voice calls and SMS using Yes Life on your notebook or PC through a third party data connection. For more information on Yes Life please click here.

For students under our Education Partner Programme, please click here for more details.
3. Will I be tied to a contract when I register for your services?
You will not be tied to a contract for a minimum subscription period as we believe consumers have the right to choose and use any service they wish.

For the same reason, there is no termination fee charged.
4. Is there a minimum usage on the Yes 4G service?
Yes, the minimum monthly usage is RM 30.

However, you'll be pleased to know that your credits will never expire and you won't be tied to a contract that commits you to a minimum subscription period.
5. But I thought Yes is a prepaid service, why is there a minimum usage?
The Yes service includes a mobile number, a synchronised address book, Yes Mail and Yes Life all of which will be available to you regardless of whether you consume data, make voice calls or SMS.

The minimum usage charge of RM 30 is less than the average amount that consumers pay for voice services alone. So for a fully converged service with data, voice calls and SMS this is the lowest monthly cost offered today.
6. What happens if I do not meet my minimum usage requirement?
In this instance, the difference between the minimum RM 30 requirement and what you have already used will be debited from your account at the end of your bill cycle.
7. What happens if my credit is zero or negative?
You will still be able to receive calls and SMS, access your contacts and make emergency calls but you will not be able to make any calls, send SMS, IM or surf the Internet.
8. What happens if I don't use RM 30 in a single month, but I have more than RM 30 (for example RM 50) credit in my account?
In this instance, the difference between the minimum RM 30 requirement and what you have already used will be debited from your account at the end of your bill cycle.

If you have more than RM 30 in your account, for example RM 50, and your usage is RM 10 then we will deduct RM 20 from the remaining credit to make the monthly minimum of RM 30. Your balance for the next month will stand at RM 20.

The calculation for this is as follows:
X = available credit = RM 50
Y = monthly usage = RM 10
Z = balance to meet minimum usage of RM 30 = RM 20

Available balance = RM 50 (X) - RM 10 (Y) - RM 20 (Z) = RM 20
9. What happens if I don't use the Yes 4G service for 2 months?
If you should stop using our service for 2 months, the RM 30 minimum usage requirement will still apply to your account. That means RM 60 will be debited from your account. When the credit within your account reaches zero or a negative amount, you will need to settle all outstanding amounts before you are able to use the service. However you will still be able to receive calls and SMS.
10. Will my account be terminated if I do not pay the RM 30/month minimum usage charge?
The RM 30 minimum usage requirement will still apply to your account for 3 months from the date your credit limit reaches zero or a negative amount. Your account will then be terminated should you fail to reload and settle all outstanding amounts. Once your account is terminated, you will lose all your data including emails, SMS and contact details that you have stored in your Yes Account, and your Yes ID & 018 number will be returned into the system for future customers to choose and utilise.
11. Will I be tied to a contract when I register for your prepaid services?
No, you will not be tied to a contract for a minimum subscription period and there will be no termination fee should you wish to do so.
12. How do I check my usage and credit balance?
You can check your account balance and bill at www.yes.my > My Account > Account Details.

Alternatively, you can check your balance via SMS. Click here to learn more.
Rebates FAQ
1. How do I get Yes rebates?
Yes rebates are given for data usage so the more you use the lower the rates become. Our standard data charge is 3 sen/MB and the rebates will start kicking in when you have used 2.5 GB in a month.

The rebates are as follows:

2.5 GB – RM 9
3.0 GB – RM 23
4.0 GB and above - 30% off for each GB of data usage

The rebates you've accumulated will be used to offset your usage for the coming month first. Like Yes credits, Yes rebates do not expire.

Please note that you will only earn rebates through reloads. Credits in the rebate bucket will not entitle you to further rebates.
