YTL Communications Clinches Prestigious 2013 Broadband Infovision Award For Best Broadband Cloud



Latest win at the global level acknowledges broadband service provider's industry leadership in cloud services
Kuala Lumpur, 16 December 2013 - YTL Communications Sdn Bhd's effort in connecting 10,000 national schools across Malaysia with Yes 4G Internet service integrated with cloud-based Frog VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) under the 1BestariNet programme has been given the Best Broadband Cloud Award at the 2013 Broadband InfoVision Awards ceremony held recently in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The Infovision Award, part of the annual Broadband World Forum, is regarded as the blue-chip recognition and acknowledgement of outstanding innovation and accomplishments amongst some of the biggest and most influential operators in the global broadband marketplace.

The Best Broadband Cloud Award was created to "recognise an excellent product, service, device or innovation in the area of Cloud Services by a telecom solutions provider, a broadband operator or service provider".

YTL Communications topped four other elite finalists in the awards category including leading telecommunications vendors Huawei Technologies, T-Mobile and Alcatel-Lucent to sweep up the award.

The spectacular winning moment is a testament to YTL Communications' distinction as the flag bearer in the exciting space of mobile cloud services, and this latest win adds to the company's impressive line of international accolades since its commercial launch three years ago, including 2011 Broadband InfoVision Award for 'Best New Service' category, Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Award for 'Most Innovative Service Provider of the Year 2012" and Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Award for "'Most Promising Telecom Service Provider of the Year 2013'.
