Yes Lights Up Gaya Christmas Carnival with Tallest Christmas Tree

Kota Kinabalu, 15 December 2015 - Yes, a mobile 4G brand under YTL Communications, celebrates the festive season of Christmas in style as the main sponsor for the “11th Gaya Christmas Carnival 2015”, one of the largest and highly anticipated events in Sabah. In addition to the festive excitement, Yes has also sponsored and installed the tallest outdoor Christmas Tree at the carnival.

The joyous carnival, which begins today at Lintasan Deasoka, is jointly organised by Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu (DBKK) and Sabah Council of Churches. Tens of thousands of people across Sabah, along with tourists are expected to attend the grand event themed “Love Came Down” and revel in the festive spirit. The Chief Minister of Sabah YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Bin Aman will be officiating the event, and will be accompanied by the City Mayor of Kota Kinabalu YBhg Datuk Abidin Madingkir, DBKK officials, as well as partners including Executive Director of YTL Communications YBhg Dato’ Yeoh Soo Keng.

The lavishly decorated Christmas tree decked with giant silver and gold baubles, string lights and crowned with a Yes logo tree topper stands at an impressive 35-foot tall at the center of this year’s Gaya Christmas Carnival celebration. The official launch of the Yes Christmas tree will take place later tonight, while a local choir group will be singing Christmas carols beside the lit tree.
