5 to 10 years working experience in a 24x7 ITenvironment or Telco environment as advantage. Expert Technical knowledge in data center operation and constantly ensures improvements. Good knowledge in data center environment and facilities. Knowledge of information security and ITIL processes is preferable. Provides first-level telephone support and troubleshoots issues. Ability to provide support on Level 2/Level 3 incidents through 24x7x365 standby.
Oversee data center facility and its availability as per agreed SLA and ensure team member spontaneously response to critical elements that may affect it. Responsible to ensure all maintenance schedules and ensure team member is carrying out accordingly. Ensure all installation on data center infrastructure materials including: racks and cabinets w/grounding, cable tray and ladder, cable management, copper and fiber networking cable, copper and fiber patch panels and any other materials necessary for data center operations which are executed professionally. Rack and stack equipment including: network switches and routers, servers, power distribution devices, equipment grounding, patch cable network connections to equipment including copper and fiber, any other equipment necessary for data center operations. Ensure team member carrying out terminating and patching Cat 5e, Cat 6, and fiberpatching for internal customer. Knowledge of and proven skills using various test sets including: power system multi-meters, cable test sets (Fluke DTX for copper and fiber), fiber test sets (Fluke OTDR fiber tester), cable testing and certification. Provision as required for racks space and network cabling in the Data Centre. Responsible for capacity planning to ensure underlying infrastructure such as racks, KVM, patch panel etc. is adequate for new projects requirement. Periodic review of power and cooling to ensure the data center is operating without potential risks of interruption. Ability to analyze the data center environment and identify areas of improvement and potential trouble conditions, present the facts to management in a timely manner, and make recommendations for solutions. Manage work and prioritize task for team member through ticketing system and escalate or inform Data Center Manager whenever necessary depends on its severity. Manage the relationship with all 3rd parties and internal teams, associated with the maintenance and support of the Data Centre's according to company’s policies. Ensure monitor and control access to the Data Center constantly practicing by team member to prevent unauthorized access. To control all permit issuing for work being carried out in the data centers. Insure data center areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and organization. Ensure team member executing and inherit habit of tidiness for data center. Ensure team member keep track or assist with goods receiving, asset tagging, storing and deploying equipment and tools for data center operations as necessary. Ensure team member to perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Ensure team member complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards on every task executed. Ensure team member work with auditors as required for site specific issues/concerns. To ensure the Data Centre process and procedures support the required ISO and ITIL standards. To work outside core hours where required to supervise and control site changes and upgrades. Ensure team member participating on all critical implementation/upgrades and shift rotation whenever necessary. 24x7x365 on standby call support on any data center operations request. Escort YTLC’s customer on any production changes or break fix as needed including outside business hours. To participate on all kind of supervision to the contractor, critical implementation or upgrades including internal teams request which required Data Centre support and shift rotation applicable whenever necessary. Ad-hoc support on building and facilities systems e.g. CCTV, Door access, CMS etc. as needed to ensure physical security constantly within control. PNOC video wall monitoring screens support. Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. Ability to performing daily health checks process. Ability to develop detailed proposals and plans. A team player with excellent communication and presentation skills. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and priorities work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
