Switching Plans & Providers

  1. Will an Eligible Subscriber still be entitled to the Jaringan Prihatin RM15 rebate per month if they switch from one Service Provider to another?
    Yes, an Eligible Subscriber will still be entitled to the Jaringan Prihatin RM15 rebate per month if they switch from one Service Provider to another. However, the Subscriber will first be required to terminate their service with their existing Service Provider. The Subscriber is only allowed a maximum of 3 switches after registration (i.e. Service Provider A> Service Provider B >Service Provider C > Service Provider D) over the course of the programme.
  2. Can a Jaringan Prihatin Subsidy Recipient change the Jaringan Prihatin Service Plan to any other Prepaid Service Plan or Postpaid Service Plan during the Programme Period?
    During the Programme Period, a Jaringan Prihatin Subsidy Recipient  having subscribed to the YES Prihatin Prepaid Service Plan, YES Prihatin Learn from Home for Individuals Service Plan and YES Prihatin Learn from Home for Families Service Plan is not allowed to convert such service plans to any other Postpaid Service Plans or Prepaid Service Plans.
  3. Can an Eligible Subscriber switch to another Service Provider within 30 days from the registration date? 
    No, an Eligible Subscriber is not allowed to switch to another Service Provider within 30 days from the registration date.
  4. Can an Eligible Subscriber port in their other Service Provider number to register for the Jaringan Prihatin Subsidy under YES? 
    Yes, a Jaringan Subsidy Recipient can port in from one Service Provider to another, as per conditions stated in FAQ No. 1. However, the Subscriber will need to unregister from the Jaringan Prihatin Subsidy programme with their existing Service Provider.
  5. What happens to any balance from the Jaringan Prihatin Subsidy if the Recipient terminates the existing service plan and re-registers for another service plan?
    The remainder of the Jaringan Prihatin Subsidy will carry on to the new service plan.
  6. I am currently registered with Service Provider A and would like to switch to another Service Provider. Will I remain entitled to the Jaringan Prihatin Subsidy? 
    Yes, here’s how: First, terminate your Jaringan Prihatin registration with Service Provider A. Then, register with your new Service Provider, and you will be able to continue enjoying the Jaringan Prihatin Programme. You are allowed a maximum of three (3) switches (i.e. Service Provider A (current package) > Service Provider B > Service Provider C > Service Provider D) over the course of the programme. However, this only applies to those opting for the monthly data plan subsidy; it does NOT apply to the device package subsidy.
  7. Can I switch to a different data plan with my Service Provider after signing up for an offer? 
    Yes, you may switch to a different data plan, as long as it is part of the offers available to Jaringan Prihatin customers & eligible for the monthly subsidy.
  8. Must an Eligible Subscriber who was previously with another Service Provider re-register for the Jaringan Prihatin Subsidy, or is eligibility automatically detected?
    An Eligible Subscriber must first terminate the Jaringan Prihatin Subsidy with their existing Service Provider, then re-register with their new Service Provider for the Jaringan Prihatin Programme.
  9. I have been enjoying monthly Prihatin rebates with my existing Service Provider. Can I terminate the subscription with my existing Service Provider and proceed with the programme using another Service Provider? 
    Yes, you can terminate your existing Service Provider line anytime and continue your Prihatin Programme under a new Service Provider. However, you can only redeem your rebate once a month, i.e. if you have received the subsidy (for Postpaid) or redeemed (for Prepaid) for April 2021 before terminating your line with your existing Service Provider, you will not be able to redeem another RM15 subsidy from your new Service Provider within that same calendar month (April 2021).
