  1. What is YES Databack x Shopee?
    YES Databack x Shopee is a redemption programme organised by YTL Communications Sdn Bhd (“YTLC”) in collaboration with Shopee Mobile Malaysia Sdn. Bhd (“Shopee”).
    Every RM50 you spend in the Shopee entitles you to 5GB of free YES data. Each additional RM50 spent will earn you an extra 5GB per RM50 spent, up to a maximum of 100GB of free data."
  2. Is there a limit to the number of YES Databack x Shopee vouchers that can be claimed by a single Shopee ID?
    There is no limit to the number of vouchers that can be claimed on a single Shopee ID. However, YES Databack x Shopee vouchers from one (1) ShopeeID can only be claimed on one (1) YES service account/mobile number. Once you have claimed the Yes Databack from a particular Shopee ID to a Yes service account or mobile number for the first time, the Shopee ID will be paired with the Yes service account or mobile number in future. This means, in the future, all vouchers received from that Shopee ID can only redeem by the same Yes service account or mobile number only.
  3. What is the validity period of the YES Databack x Shopee voucher?
    The YES Databack x Shopee voucher expires 4 months from the date of issue.
  4. I did not receive any YES Databack x Shopee vouchers, how do I get the YES Databack x Shopee voucher?
    To qualify for the YES Databack vouchers, Shopee users must spend a minimum of RM50 in the Shopee.
    Each additional RM50 spent will earn you an extra 5GB per RM50 spent, up to a maximum of 100GB of free YES data.

    YES Databack x Shopee vouchers are credited automatically into your Shopee account.

    Please refer to your historical spend in the past calendar month (e.g. 1 June - 30 June). If you have spent RM50 or above, then you can retrieve your YES Databack x Shopee voucher.

    Here's how to claim your voucher: 1. Launch the Shopee app.
    2. Open Notifications.
    3. Look for Shopee updates.
    4. Claim your YES Databack x Shopee voucher.

    In the event you do not see it and have qualified based on your spending, please refer to Shopee’s Customer Service for further assistance.

  5. When will the YES Databack x Shopee voucher be available on the Shopee app?
    The YES Databack x Shopee voucher will be available on the Shopee app at the beginning of each month. You will find them under Notifications - Shopee Updates.
    The amount of YES DataBack credited to you will be based on the cumulative amount spent in the Shopee in the previous calendar month (eg 5GB for RM50 spent).
  6. Who is eligible to redeem and use the YES Databack x Shopee voucher?
    A YES Subscriber with a valid and active Mobile Postpaid or Mobile Prepaid account can redeem the free YES Data by using the YES Databack x Shopee voucher.
  7. What is I am not a YES subscriber?
    YES Databack x Shopee vouchers can only be redeemed via an active YES account.

  8. I’m an existing YES user, how do I redeem the YES Databack x Shopee voucher?
    Access and retrieve your YES Databack x Shopee voucher from the Shopee app. Here's how:
    1. Launch the Shopee app.
    2. Open Notifications.
    3. Look for Shopee updates.
    4. Claim your YES Databack x Shopee voucher.

    Then download/launch the MyYes app and follow these steps:
    1. Click on “Have a Voucher? Redeem Here” on the Main Page of the MyYes app.
    2. Key in the voucher serial number and Shopee ID then click the “Verify” button.
    3. Once your redemption is successful, the free data will be credited automatically into your YES account.
  9. What is the validity of the free YES data once I've redeemed it on the MyYes app?
    The free data will be valid for up to 30 days from the date of redemption.
  10. I have signed up for a YES plan that comes with Unlimited Data. Will the YES Databack x Shopee voucher be beneficial to me?
    No, the YES Databack x Shopee Voucher cannot be claimed if you are subscribed to any YES Unlimited Plan, however, you are able to claim the YES Databack x Shopee voucher upon the YES Unlimited Plan's expiry.
  11. If I have more than one (1) YES service account/ YES mobile number, which account can I use to claim the YES Databack x Shopee voucher?
    YES Databack x Shopee vouchers from one (1) Shopee ID can only be claimed on one (1) YES service account/mobile number.
    If you have more than one (1) YES service account/ YES mobile number, log onto the MyYes app and select the preferred YES service account/YES Mobile Number using the arrow at the top of the MyYes home page (next to your YES mobile number).
    Then claim the voucher using the steps given in FAQ No. 8.
  12. My YES Databack data is not reflected in my YES account, how do I resolve this?
    Check your Shopee historical spend in the past calendar month (e.g. 1 June -30 June). If you have spent RM50 or above, you can retrieve your YES Databack x Shopee voucher. Here's how:
    1. Launch the Shopee app.
    2. Open Notifications
    3. Look for Shopee updates
    4. Claim your YES Databack x Shopee voucher. The YES Databack x Shopee vouchers are automatically credited into your account.

    After claiming your YES Databack x Shopee voucher, access the MyYes app and follow the steps listed in FAQ No. 8 to retrive your data.

    Ensure your YES service plan is active in order to utilise and enjoy the free data. If the free data is still not reflected in your YES account, please contact YesCare via email at yescare@yes.my and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
  13. Is the YES Databack x Shopee voucher stackable?
    No, the YES Databack x Shopee voucher is not exchangeable for cash.
  14. Can I transfer the YES Databack x Shopee voucher or share it with my friend or family member?
    YES Databack x Shopee vouchers from one (1) Shopee ID can only be claimed on one (1) YES service account/mobile number.
    If you have previously claimed the YES Databack x Shopee voucher from your ShopeeID on a YES service account/mobile number, you will not be able to claim in on a different YES service account mobile number.
    If you are claiming a YES Databack x Shopee voucher for the first time, please ensure that you claim the YES Databack x Shopee voucher using your preferred YES service account/mobile number.
  15. Can I purchase YES Data Add-On(s) if I have fully utilised the YES Databack x Shopee voucher(s)?
    Yes, you can purchase YES Data Add-On(s) from the MyYes app. Here's how:

    You can purchase one (1) YES Kasi Up x Shopee RM1 Prepaid SIM Plan at RM1 through this Shopee promotion. All subsequent purchases of the YES Kasi Up x Shopee RM1 Prepaid SIM Plan Promotion will be at the retail price of RM15 each.
  5. What do I do after I have received the YES Kasi Up x Shopee RM1 Prepaid SIM Plan?
    When your received the YES Kasi Up Prepaid SIM you have purchased on Shopee, you must activate it. The activation is done via the YES self-registration application (eKYC).
    Follow these steps:
    a) Download the MyYes app. Open the app and click on "New User".
    b) Click on "Activate Sim". Then click "Start".
    c) Scan the barcode found on the back of the SIM jacket or manually input your SIM serial number.
    d) Accept the assigned phone number or switch to YES. If you choose to switch to YES, input your existing number and verify the instruction by clicking on "Switch to YES".
    e) Complete your activation by following the eKYC steps on-screen (you will be asked to input your phone number & personal details). Then verify your ID.
    f) Once you have completed the verification, you will receive a message confirming your activation.
  6. Is there a limit to the number YES Kasi Up x Shopee RM1 Prepaid SIM Plans I can purchase through this Shopee promotion?
    You can purchase one (1) YES Kasi Up x Shopee RM1 Prepaid SIM Plan at RM1 through this Shopee promotion. All subsequent purchases of the YES Kasi Up x Shopee RM1 Prepaid SIM Plan Promotion will be at the retail price of RM15 each.
  7. If I have purchased the YES Kasi Up x Shopee RM1 Prepaid SIM Plan and would like to cancel the order, can I get refund?
    No. Once you have agreed to purchase of the YES Kasi Up x Shopee RM1 Prepaid SIM Plan, it is considered sold and no refunds are allowed.
  1. What is YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn Programme?
    The YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn Programme is launched by YTL Communications Sdn Bhd ("YTLC"). Under this YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn Programme, a Yes Subscriber of any of the Postpaid Service Plans and/or Prepaid Service Plans other than the Excluded Service Plans ("Referrer") may invite friends and family to subscribe to the Kasi Up Plans by applying the Referrer’s Referral Code.

    If the person he/she refers to subscribes to any of the Kasi Up Plans (“Referee”)via MyYes app by using the Referrer’s Referral Code, the Referrer and Referee will be entitled to the Kasi Up Cash Reward provided that:
    (a) In the case of a Referrer, both the Referrer’s and Referee’s Service accounts respectively remains active; and
    (b) In the case of a Referee, the Referee’s Service account remains active during the Cash Reward Earned Period.

    Please take note that the Cash Reward Earned Period will commence upon activation of the Kasi Up Service Plan’s Service Account subscribed by such Referee.
  2. Who is a Referrer?
    A Referrer is an individual, 18 years old and above, who is an existing subscriber of the Postpaid Service Plans and/or Prepaid Service Plans (except for the Excluded Service Plans).
  3. What are the YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn Service Plans?
    The Kasi Up Plans consists of the follows:
    (a) Kasi Up Postpaid 49;
    (b) Kasi Up Postpaid 49 (with contract);
    (c) Kasi Up Postpaid 30 Phone Bundle (with contract); and
    (d) Kasi Up Prepaid 15.

  4. What is a Referral Code?
    A Referral Code is a set of numerical characters replicating the Referrer’s Mobile Number. This Mobile Number is assigned to the Yes Subscriber under the respective Postpaid Service Plans and/or Prepaid Service Plans the Referrer has subscribed to (other than those listed as Excluded Service Plans).
  5. What are the Excluded Service Plans?
    Excluded Service Plans are:
    (a) Fixed Wireless Internet Service Plan; and
    (b) any plans subscribed by YTLC’s enterprise customers.
  6. Will I be completely excluded from participating in the YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn Programme if I have subscribed to any of the Excluded Service Plans?
    You can participate in the YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn Programme as long as you have subscribed to a Postpaid Service Plan and/or Prepaid Service Plan, in addition to the Excluded Service Plans. Just share the Referral Code of such Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service Plan you have subscribed to.
  7. What is the duration of the YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn Programme?
    The YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn Programme will commence at 00.00 am on 15th December 2020 and continue until further notice by YTLC.
  8. As a Referrer, how do I share my Referral Code?
    You may share your Referral Code via:
    (a) MyYes app;
    (b) MyAccount; and/or
    (c) any other lawful methods.

     
  9. How do I share my Referral Code via MyYes app?
    If You decide to share Your Referral Code via MyYes app, please execute the following steps:
    • log-in to MyYes app;
    • click on the “Earn Reward when you refer Friends” banner;
    • click on the tab “REFER NOW”
    • select the social media platform which you intend to use as a medium to share the Referral Code;
  10. How do I share my Referral Code via MyAccount?
    If You decide to share Your Referral Code via MyAccount, please execute the following steps:
    • log-in to MyAccount page on the YES website @ www.yes.my/myaccount ;
    • click on the tab “Copy”; and
    • select the social media platform which you intend to use as a medium to share the Referral Code.
  11. Can a Referrer use his/her own Referral Code to subscribe to any of the Kasi Up Plans?
    No, a Referrer cannot use his/her own Referral Code to subscribe to any of the Kasi Up Plans under this YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn Programme.
  12. Who is a Referee?
    A Referee is an individual, but excluding the Referrer, who subscribes to any of the Kasi Up Plans via MyYes app by applying the Referral Code.
  13. As a Referee, how do I earn the Kasi Up Cash Reward?
    A Referee may earn the Kasi Up Cash Reward during the Cash Reward Earned Period by subscribing to any of the Kasi Up Plans via MyYes app by applying the Referral Code on condition that the Referee’s Service account in relation to the Kasi Up Plan/(s) subscribed remains active during the Cash Reward Earned Period. For clarity, the Cash Reward Earned Period will commence from the activation date of the Kasi Up Plan subscribed by the Referee.
  14. Will a Referrer be entitled to receive the Kasi Up Cash Reward if a Referee subscribes to a Kasi Up Plan through a channel other than the MyYes app?
    No, a Referrer will not be able to receive the Kasi Up Cash Reward if a Referee subscribes to the Kasi Up Plan through any channel other than the MyYes app.
  15. What is the Kasi Up Cash Reward?
    The Kasi Up Cash Reward is rewards in the form of cash earned by the Referrer and Referee respectively, under the YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn Programme, during the Cash Reward Earned Period subject to the pre-conditions as more specifically stated in FAQ 1.Details on the Kasi Up Cash Reward are as more specifically stated below:

  16. What does the Cash Reward Earned Period mean?
    The Cash Reward Earned Period refers to the period during which a Referrer and Referee will earn the Kasi Up Cash Reward which will be reflected in their respective In Wallet. Please refer to the table below for details on the Cash Reward Earned Period which will be reflected in the Referrer’s and Referee’s respective In Wallet.

    Scenario: On the assumption that the Referee successfully subscribes to the Kasi Up Postpaid 49 (without contract) by applying the Referrer’s Referral Code. In this instance, the Referrer is entitled to Kasi Up Cash Reward of RM 50 during the Cash Reward Earned Period subject to the pre-conditions stated in FAQ 1. Upon Service activation of the Kasi Up Plan by the Referee, the sum of RM 20.00 will be reflected in the Referrer’s In Wallet. The balance RM30.00 will be reflected in the In Wallet based on Cash Reward Earned Period.

  17. What are the pre-conditions to be satisfied by the Referrer and Referee for them to earn the Kasi Up Cash Reward?
    The pre-conditions for the Referrer and Referee to earn the Kasi Up Cash Reward are as follows:
    1) If Referrer
    (a) The Referrer’s Service account remains active; and
    (b) Referee’s Service account in relation to the Kasi Up Plan subscribed by him/her remains active
    during the Cash Reward Earned Period.

    2) If Referee
    Referee’s Service account in relation to the Kasi Up Plan subscribed by him/her remains active during the Cash Reward Earned Period.
  18. Can Referee apply or use the Referral Code to subscribe or purchase any other products and/or Services other than for the subscription of the Kasi Up Plans?
    No, Referee cannot use the Referral Code to subscribe and/or purchase any other products and/or Services other than the Kasi Up Plans.
  19. Is there any limitation in the number of Referees that a Referrer may refer under this YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn Programme?
    There is no limitation on the number of Referees a Referrer may refer under this YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn Programme.
    Do note however as a Referrer, Your entitlement to the Kasi Up Cash Reward is subject to:
    (a) each Referee successfully subscribing to a Kasi Up Plan during the Programme Period by applying Your Referral Code; and
    (b) both your Service account and the Referee’s Kasi Up Plan Service account remains active during the Cash Reward Earned Period.
  20. As a Referrer, will I be able to enjoy the Kasi Up Cash Reward in the event a Referee applies the referral code of any other Eligible Person, even though I had referred him/her to the Kasi Up Refer & Earn Programme?
    If a Referee enters a referral code of an Eligible Person who is not the Referrer, the Cash Reward will be reflected in the In Wallet of such Eligible Person applied by the Referee even though he/she is not the actual Referrer.
    In the event this happens, the Referrer will not be eligible to claim the related Kasi Up Cash Reward during Cash Reward Earned Period.
  21. Can a Referee enter or change the Referral Code once he/she has successfully subscribed to any of the Kasi Up Plans?
    No, the Referee cannot enter or change the Referral Code once he/she has successfully subscribed to any of the Kasi Up Plans.
  22. Is there any expiry date on the Referral Code?
    There is no expiry date on the Referral Code. However, a Referrer may not be able to participate in this YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn Programme and the Referee may not be able to apply the Referral Code to subscribe to any of the Kasi Up Plans once Referrer’s Service account is terminated.
  23. Can I transfer or assign my Referral Code to any other person(s)?
    No, you cannot transfer or assign Your Referral Code to any other persons. For clarity, you are not the owner of the Referral Code and YTLC reserves the right to withdraw the Referral Code at any time, at its sole and absolute discretion.

However any Kasi Up Cash Reward earned through the YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn Programme will be reflected in the principal subscriber’s In Wallet.

    You can redeem the Kasi Up Cash Reward once it is reflected in Your In Wallet.

    No, you will not be able to redeem the Kasi Up Cash Reward in the In Wallet once your Service account is terminated. Any unredeemed Kasi Up Cash Reward in the In Wallet will be surrendered to the Registrar of Unclaimed Money under the Accountant-General’s Department.

    Yes, You can make partial settlement towards Your Bill by using the Kasi Up Cash Reward in the In Wallet. You can then settle the balance outstanding amount via any available payment channels, including payment by way of credit or debit card or online transfer.
  39. Can I use the Kasi Up Cash Reward in the In Wallet towards Bill payment, to purchase Prepaid Reloads and/or purchase Data Add-Ons if my Service account is barred or suspended?
    Yes, You may still use the Kasi Up Cash Reward in the In Wallet towards Bill payments, to purchase Prepaid Reloads, and/or purchase Data Add-Ons eventhough your Service account is barred or suspended.
  40. Can I cash out the Kasi Up Cash Rewards I have earned if my Service accounts is barred or suspended?
    No, You cannot perform cash out of the Kasi Up Cash Reward if your Service account is barred or suspended.
  41. Can I seek a refund if I have over-paid my Bill using my Kasi Up Cash Reward in the In Wallet?
    No, a Referrer and/or Referee cannot seek refund on any overpayment of his/her Bill. Please take note that if You have overpaid Your Bill, then any amount that is overpaid will be used to set-off against Your future Bill under the same Service account, and will not be redeposited into Your In Wallet.
  42. In the event a Referrer or Referee terminates their Service completely, and where there is an overpayment of their Bill using the Kasi Up Cash Reward, will the sums that were overpaid be refunded to the Referrer or Referee?
    Yes, in this instance, the sums that have been overpaid will be refunded to the Referrer or Referee, upon deduction of any outstanding sums payable to YTLC.
  43. Is there any limitation on the amount of Kasi Up Cash Rewards that can be cashed out by a Referrer or Referee?
    Yes there are certain limitations. Please take note that you may:
    (a) apply for only one (1) cash withdrawal; and
    (b) a minimum of RM50 to a maximum sum of RM5,000.00 only per day.
    In addition, you may perform cash outs not exceeding RM20,000.00 per month.
  44. Is there any expiry date on the Kasi Up Cash Rewards in the In Wallet?
    No, there is no expiry date on the Kasi Up Cash Reward in the In Wallet.

    It depends on the GIRO policy of each bank. Please check with your respective banks should you require any clarification.

    The validity period of each Postpaid Data Raya Add-On is thirty (30) days from the date of successful purchase by the Sender (“Postpaid Data Raya Validity Period”).
  8. Will the Postpaid Data Raya Add-On purchased during a particular Billing Cycle expire automatically at the expiry of such Billing Cycle?
    As long as the Postpaid Data Raya Add-On is:
    (1) within the Postpaid Data Raya Validity Period; and
    (2) the Recipient’s Postpaid Account Validity Period is valid and active,
    the Recipient may enjoy and use the allocated internet data in the Postpaid Data Raya Add-On throughout the Postpaid Data Raya Validity Period irrespective of the Recipient’s applicable Billing Cycle. For example, if a Recipient’s Billing Cycle ends on 25th May 2020 and he/she receives a Data Raya Add-On with a validity period of thirty (30) days on 23rd May 2020, provided always that the Recipient’s Postpaid Service account is valid and active throughout the Postpaid Data Raya Add-On Validity Period, he/she will continue to enjoy the internet data in such Postpaid Data Raya Add-On until 21st June 2020. Any internet data which remains unutilized after the Postpaid Data Raya Validity Period will expire automatically after 21st June 2020.
  9. What is the validity period of the Prepaid Data Raya Add-On?
    Each Prepaid Data Raya Add-On has a particular validity period from the date of successful purchase by the Sender (“Prepaid Data Raya Validity Period”). Please refer to MyYes4G app (if the Sender is a YES Subscriber) or visit the YESExpress Add-On page available @ www.yes.my (applicable to both Yes Subscriber and non YES Subscriber) for further information on the Prepaid Data Raya Validity Period.
  10. Which Account Validity Period will apply in the event a Sender purchases multiple Prepaid Data Raya Add-On?
    In the event a Sender purchases multiple Prepaid Data Raya Add-On, the Recipient’s Account Vailidity Period will be extended accordingly based on the last Prepaid Data Raya Add-On’s successful purchase date. For example, if a Recipient’s Account Validity Period ends on 30 April 2020, and on 25th April 2020 he/she receives a Prepaid Data Raya Add-On with a validity period of thirty (30) days and again on 28th April 2020, the Recipient receives another Prepaid Data Raya Add-On with a validity period of thirty (30) days, in such instance, his/her account validity period will be extended to 27 May 2020 based on the Prepaid Data Raya Add-On received by him on 28th April 2020. For clarity and avoidance of doubt, if multiple Prepaid Data Raya Add-On is purchased, the order of priority in calculating the usage of internet data is from the earliest to the latest purchase of the Prepaid Data Raya Add-On.
  11. How many Data Raya Add-On can a Sender purchase at any one time?
    There is no limitation on the number of Data Raya Add-On. A Sender may purchase for use of the Recipient which means a Sender may make multiple purchases of the Data Raya Add-On provided always that the purchase is done by the Sender during the Data Raya Campaign Period.
  12. Will a Sender receive notification upon successful purchase of the Data Raya Add-On?
    A transaction successful page will pop up if the purchase of the Data Raya Add-On by the Sender is successful. The Sender is advised to refer to his/her credit or online banking statement transaction to view details on such purchase of Data Raya Add-On.
  13. Can a Sender request for refund upon successful purchase of theData Raya Add-On?
    There will be no refund initiated by YTLC on any successful purchase of the Data Raya Add-On.
  14. Will a Recipient receive notification if a Sender purchases the Data Raya Add-On for them?
    Recipient will receive notification via SMS or e-mail on the Data Raya Add-On gifted to him/her. Recipient may check further details on the Data Raya Add-On via the “Purchase History” tab on MyYes4G app or MyAccount.
  15. What happens if the Sender entered the wrong YES Active Subscriber mobile number or YES ID or Account Number for Data Raya Campaign?
    It is the responsibility of the Sender to ensure accuracy of the information provided to YTLC in relation to the purchase of the Data Raya Add-On.
