  1. What is the ‘YES Online Prepaid SIM Card for Institutions of Higher Learning Learn From Home Programme’ (“IHL LFH Programme”)?
    The IHL LFH Programme is a programme to enable Personnel and Students from selected participating Institution of Higher Learning to learn through digital platforms during the period of Movement Control Order. Please refer to YTL Foundation website @ http://ytlfoundation.org/learnfromhomeuni for further information on the list of participating Institution of Higher Learning under this Programme.

  2. How long is the IHL LFH Programme period?
    The IHL LFH Programme period is from 2 May 2020, 06:00 a.m. to 31 August 2021, 11:59 p.m.
  3. What does the IHL LFH Programme Bundle consist of?
    It consists of:
    i) FREE One (1) YES Prepaid SIM Card with YES Mobile Number; and;
    (ii) FREE 40GB LTE Data with an Account Validity Period of sixty (60) days from the date of service activation.
  4. Who is eligible to apply this IHL LFH Programme?
    Personnel and Students from the selected participating Institution of Higher Learning are eligible to participate in the Programme.
  5. Are there any supporting documents to be produced by the Eligible Subscribers as pre-condition to his/her participation in the Programme?
    Yes, the Eligible Subscribers is required to provide the following supporting documents namely:-
    (a) For Malaysian citizens or permanent residents, valid MyKad (or MyPR or MyTentera, as applicable);or
    (b) For foreigners, valid International Passport; and
    (c) Valid identification card issued by the respective Institution of Higher Learning to their Personnel and Students.
  6. How to apply the IHL LFH Programme Bundle?
    a) The respective Institution of Higher Learning will provide a URL Link to the Eligible Subscribers. The Eligible Subscriber must register his/her interest via the URL Link and provide the required information in the online form available on the URL Link. For clarity, the Eligible Subscriber is also required to validate his/her email address as part of the registration of interest.
    b) If a New Intake Student has received a YES Prepaid SIM card from his/her Institution of Higher Learning during orientation, the New Intake Students will need to activate his/her YES Prepaid SIM card via https://www.yes.my/act by selecting “Register and activate my Learn from Home SIM Card” option and enter the 19 digits Prepaid SIM Serial Number. The New Intake Student must provide all the required information in the online registration form therein. The Eligible Subscriber is also required to validate his/her email address as part of the registration process.
  7. What are the verification requirements to participate in this IHL LFH Programme Bundle?
    We will verify the supporting documents provided to us to ensure that the Eligible Subscriber meets all the application criteria. For on-line application, if the Eligible Subscriber meets the application criteria, we will deliver to the Eligible Subscriber the YES Prepaid SIM Card via courier through our Delivery Agent to the Eligible Subscriber’s delivery address stated in the online form. The Delivery Agent will verify the information provided by the Eligible Subscriber against the Eligible Subscriber’s original identification documents upon delivery of the YES Prepaid SIM Card. As such, the Eligible Subscriber is required to have his/her original identification documents ready for the verification by the Delivery Agent during delivery of the YES Prepaid SIM Card.
  8. How many IHL LFH Programme Bundle can an Eligible Subscriber be entitled to apply for and register?
    Each Eligible Subscriber is entitled to register to one (1) IHL LFH Programme Bundle only subject to the condition that he/she must not have, in total, more than five (5) prepaid accounts with YES.
  9. Is there any validity period in the use of the 40GB LTE Data provided under this IHL LFH Programme Bundle?
    Yes, the 40GB LTE Data provided under this IHL LFH Programme Bundle has an Account Validity Period of sixty (60) days only from the date of service activation.
  10. How do I activate the YES Prepaid SIM Card once received?
    You may activate the YES Prepaid SIM Card via self-care portal at https://www.yes.my/act by selecting “Activate the SIM card that I have applied online” option  and enter the Eligible Subscriber’s Order Number and your selected YES Mobile Number.
  11. Must I activate the YES Prepaid SIM Card immediately upon receipt of the YES Prepaid SIM Card or can I do so at a later time?
    You may activate the YES Prepaid SIM Card at a later time but in accordance with the IHL LFH Programme T&Cs.

  1. What is Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative (“Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative”)?
    The Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative is  an initiative launched by YTL Communications Sdn Bhd (“YTLC”) in collaboration with YTL Foundation and FrogAsia Sdn Bhd (collectively, “YTL”) to provide free smartphones with data plan to selected low income (B40) families to enable their children to learn through digital platforms.
  2. What is the Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative period?
    The Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative will commence on 09 April 2020, 12:00:00 a.m. and continue until terminated by YTL..
  3. What does the Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative Bundle consist of?

    It consists of:
    (i) One (1) YES Prepaid SIM Card with YES Mobile Number;
    (ii) One (1) unit of YES Altitude Smartphone or such other smartphone as may be determined by YTLC at its sole discretion (”Device”);
    (iii) A Prepaid Service plan with the following service offerings:-
    a.   A total of 120GB data with 10GB data allocated for each Service Cycle (“Data Allocation”) for twelve (12) Service Cycles, subject to review by YTLC at the end of sixth (6th) Service Cycle. Each Data Allocation shall be valid for use during the relevant Service Cycle. Any unutilised Data Allocation from the preceding Service Cycle will be forfeited and will not be transferred to the succeeding Service Cycle;
    b.   A total of 720 minutes of Off-Net Voice Calls with sixty (60) minutes allocated for each Service Cycle (“Off-Net Voice Call Allocation”) for a period of twelve (12) Service Cycles. Each Off-Net Voice Call Allocation shall be valid for use during the relevant Service Cycle. Any unutilised Off-Net Voice Call Allocation minutes from the preceding Service Cycle will be forfeited and will not be transferred to the succeeding Service Cycle; and
    c.   Free unlimited On-Net Services.


    Prepaid Data Add-On and YES Credits may be purchased if required. Charges will be imposed for all Off-Net SMS. Please refer to the Prepaid Terms and Conditions for further details on Off-Net SMS charges.


     
  4. How to apply and qualify for the Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative Bundle?
    Step 1: Nomination by Nominator
    All Malaysians with a valid MyKad (or MyPR or MyTentera, as applicable) (“Nominators”) are encouraged to assist primary and secondary school students from low income (B40) households with no smartphone or smart devices and access to the internet at home by nominating such households to qualify for the Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative Bundle. A Nominator must complete and submit a nomination form available online at https://ytlfoundation.org/learn for each nomination by providing all the required information (“Nomination”).
    Step 2: Determination by YTL
    YTL will review and assess each Nomination and determine at its sole and absolute discretion which Nominations are successful.
    Step 3: Notification on Successful Nomination
    If a Nomination is approved by YTL, both the successful nominee and the Nominator who submitted the Nomination will each receive a notification by way of email with a link for the successful nominee to  apply for the Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative Bundle.
    Step 4: Registration Application by successful nominee
    Upon receipt of the e-mail notification in step 3 above, the successful nominee will be required to provide complete information in the required fields available in the registration application form and upload:
    (1) His/her valid MyKad (or MyPR or MyTentera, as applicable)
    (2) Letter issued by the Malaysian government confirming that the successful nominee is registered to receive financial aid under the BSH 2020 or any other valid documents to prove the B40 status
    (3) Upload the successful nominee’s child’s valid MyKad (or if the child is less than twelve (12) years old and/or does not yet have a MyKad, the child must have a valid MyKid), and 
    (4) Upload a Selfie of the successful nominee holding his/her valid MyKad (or MyPR or MyTentera, as applicable) within 7 days of the e-mail notification failing which the successful nominee is deemed to be not interested to participate in the Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative Bundle.

     
  5. Is there any verification required to participate in this Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative Bundle?
    Yes, YTLC will contact the successful nominee to verify the information provided by the successful nominee. The successful nominee is required to have his/her:-
    (a) Original MyKad (or MyPR or MyTentera, as applicable);
    (b) Bantuan Sara Hidup (BSH) 2020 letter from the government or any other valid documents to prove the B40 status; and
    (c) His/her child’s original MyKad (or MyKid) ready for verification.
    If the information in the MyKad (or MyPR or MyTentera, as applicable) originally submitted is different from those information provided by the successful nominee in FAQ No. 4 (step 4) herein, YTLC will verify the information captured in the original MyKad (or MyPR or MyTentera, as applicable) to determine the nominee’s eligibility before completing the subscription of the Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative Bundle.
  6. What must a successful nominee do after he/she receives the Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative Bundle?
    Once the successful nominee receives the Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative Bundle, the successful nominee must use the pre-installed MyYes4G App and follow the instructions given to acknowledge receipt of the Learn From Home Free Phone Initiative Bundle. Each successful nominee is responsible to update the MyYes4G App from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=my.yes.yes4g to manage his/her Service account.

  1. What is ‘Yes Online Prepaid SIM Card for Learn From Home Programme’ (“LFH Programme”)?
    The LFH Programme is open to all Malaysian parents with children studying in primary or secondary government or government-aided schools in Malaysia (“Eligible Subscribers”) to enable their children to access online learning resources, including the FrogPlay Quiz Application for the purposes of anytime, anywhere learning, especially during the period of the Movement Control Order.
  2. What is the LFH Programme period?
    The LFH Programme will commence on 25 March 2020, 12:00 a.m. and will continue until 31 August 2021, 11:59 p.m.
  3. What does the LFH Programme Bundle consist of? 
    It consists of:
    (i) FREE One (1) YES Prepaid SIM Card with Yes Mobile Number;
    (i) FREE 40GB LTE Data with an Account Validity Period of sixty (60) days from the date of service activation.
  4. Who is eligible to redeem this LFH Programme Bundle?
    All parents who are Malaysian citizens or permanent residents with school-going children (aged less than 20 years old who are currently enrolled in primary or secondary government or government-aided schools in Malaysia). Eligible Subscriber must have a valid MyKad (or MyPR or My Tentera, as applicable) and the Eligible Subscriber’s child must have a valid MyKad (or if the child is less than twelve (12) years old and/or does not yet have a MyKad, the child must have a valid MyKid).
  5. How to redeem the LFH Programme Bundle?
    To redeem the LFH Programme Bundle, each Eligible Subscriber must register his/her interest via YES Online Portal at yes.my and provide the required information in the designated columns therein.
  6. Is there any verification required to participate in this LFH Programme Bundle?
    Yes, our YES agent will contact the Eligible Subscriber via WhatsApp Video Call to the Eligible Subscriber’s Alternate Mobile Number between 10:00am to 7:00pm Monday to Sunday and will screen capture the call with the Eligible Subscriber’s face and MyKad (or MyPR or My Tentera, as applicable) in full view to verify the information provided by the Eligible Subscriber as required under Malaysian regulatory requirements. 

    Eligible Subscribers are required to have their original MyKad (or MyPR or My Tentera, as applicable) and their child’s MyKad (or MyKid) ready for the verification. If the information in the original MyKad (or MyPR or My Tentera, as applicable) is different from those information provided by the Eligible Subscriber during online purchase, the YES agent will verify the information captured in the original MyKad (or MyPR or My Tentera, as applicable) to determine the Eligible Subscriber’s eligibility before completing the subscription of the LFH Programme Bundle.

     
  7. How many LFH  Programme Bundle entitled to register for each Eligible Subscriber?
    Each Eligible Subscriber is entitled to register one (1) child for one (1) LFH  Programme Bundle.  An Eligible Subscriber must not have, in aggregate, more than five (5) prepaid accounts with YES.
  8. Does the YES Prepaid Account have validity period?
    Yes, the YES Prepaid Account has an Account Validity Period of sixty (60) days from the date of service activation.
  9. How do I activate the YES Prepaid SIM Card once received?
    You may activate the YES Prepaid SIM Card via self-care portal at https://shop.yes.my/shop/activate.do.
  10. Can I activate my YES Prepaid SIM Card at a later time?
    Yes, you can activate the YES Prepaid SIM Card at a later time in in accordance with the LFH Programme T&Cs.
